Featured Wedding: Sarah Catherine & James

My last wedding of 2017 was one of my favorites! Sarah and James tied the knot in Atlanta, Georgia, where they were married in the Cathedral of Christ the King and celebrated with family and friends at the Atlanta History Center. It was a perfect day!! I don't know if I've ever worked or attended a wedding that had this much thought and sentiment put into it. Everywhere you looked, you saw a little piece of Sarah and James. There were family heirlooms, monograms, and custom logos throughout. Beautiful paper and calligraphy from Emily Kathryn Designs set the tone for the wedding weekend and brought all the fine details together. There are a ton of photos here, because I just couldn't leave anything out!

The vendors that collaborated on this wedding were a dream team. Part of my time in Atlanta, I had the privilege of working with Bold Events under Kristine. It was so fun to be able to work with her (and Kristina, her coordinator!) again. Brett, who was the photographer, went to Hollins University with me and was also my wedding photographer! Nicole, who made Sarah and James' wedding cakes, worked at a bakery with me when I first moved to Atlanta. I couldn't have asked for better people to work and execute this event with.

The fabulous vendor team:

Florals/Design: Bold Events

Catering: A Divine Event

Photo Location: The Swan House

Wedding Cakes: Nicole Bernier

Earrings: Kendra Scott

Bridesmaids Dresses: Bella Bridesmaids

Tuxedos: Jos. A Banks

Matchbooks/Napkins: Picture Perfect Papier

What a great wedding to end the year, It was the most joyous day, and you could see it on the bride and groom's faces. See for yourself...I hope you all enjoy these gorgeous photos!

Sarah choose these stunning Kendra Scott earrings from their bridal collection.

A custom logo from Emily Kathryn Designs that was used throughout the wedding.

Welcome bags for their guests included Georgia peanuts, peach water, Coca-Cola, custom matchbooks, homemade cookies from the MOG and Top 10 cards designed and created by Emily Kathryn Designs.

Their wedding stationary was beautifully styled by Brett, with family mementos such as lace from Sarah's grandmother's wedding dress.

A beautiful hand mirror, which belonged to Sarah's great aunt, her namesake.

Sarah has traveled to many National Parks with her family, so she incorporated these stamps with the other details.

Beautiful programs, also designed by Emily Kathryn Designs.

Sarah has been writing letters to her future husband for the past twelve years, and was able to give them to James on their wedding day in this beautiful keepsake box by Emily Kathryn Designs.

Sarah's Maid of Honor, Martha, had a book made for Sarah to open on her wedding day. It consisted of touching letters and photos from the women that mean the most to her.

Sarah spent the morning getting pampered and ready with her girls at the St. Regis in Buckhead. Champagne was poured and lunch was served before they departed by bus to the ceremony.

Sarah's dress was a beautiful three piece set from Fabulous Frocks in Atlanta.

Sarah's classic hair and makeup was done by Formal Faces.

Bouquets delivered to Christ the King by Bold Events!

Sarah's bouquet had a beautiful, classic look with white roses, garden roses, ranunculus, and anemones.

I adore this moment of putting on the bride's veil. Sarah looked so stunning in her complete look!

James and the groomsmen spent their morning getting ready at a family member's home just minutes from the Cathedral.

Sarah had a painting commissioned (by her bridesmaid, Elizabeth!) of their dog, Champ. It was such a special gift to give to James.

I love this shot:...all eyes on Sarah as she makes her way up to her soon to be husband!

All smiles as they are officially Mr. and Mrs. James Roberts!

Sarah is a first grade school teacher, and invited her class to the ceremony!

Since it was an afternoon Catholic ceremony, there were a few hours before cocktail hour began. The bridal party headed over to the Swan House during that time to get some stunning photographs.

I LOVE this one!

Sarah chose Tieks for her wedding day shoe.

These photos are just so gorgeous, Brett captured them perfectly!

After photos, everyone headed to the Atlanta History Center where the party was starting.

Cocktail hour florals were re-purposed from the rehearsal dinner the night before to get dual use!

A family heirloom table was set for guests to look at and appreciate on their way from cocktail hour to the reception ballroom.

Sarah and James chose to do a beautiful cake display instead of just one wedding cake. With different white cake stands and simple floral accents, this was one of my favorite things that night!

Another piece designed by Emily Kathryn Designs. Sarah and James decided on stations for their guests so they could eat, mingle and get back on the dance floor!

Mr. and Mrs. James Roberts!

Speeches from the FOB and MOB were so sweet!

Then it was officially time to get the party started!

The Moxie Band was a huge hit and had everyone dancing the entire evening.

Beautiful centerpieces by Bold Events.

I was able to take a moment and join the girls on the dance floor. <3

Delicious donuts from Da Vinci's Donuts were put out as a late night snack for guests to take home. YUM!

Grabbed a photo with the bride!

since rain decided to come the last hour, we moved the confetti exit to the dance floor for the last song!

A beautiful day for two beautiful people, a day I will cherish always.
