I am so excited to be a part of this couple's wedding! Christine grew up in Chesapeake, VA. We are connected through our Alma Mater, Hollins University, but didn't meet until years later. She grew up playing field hockey, loves crafting, and adores her yorkiepoo, Bella. Nic grew up in Santiago, Chile and Durham, NC. He has lived in both London and Barcelona as well. He studied chemistry at NC State, and is now Executive Chef/Owner of the new uptown restaurant: Loft & Cellar. They both love the Panthers, playing board games, and weekend trips with friends.
I just love the ideas Christine has come up with for her wedding-feminine touches with a rustic feel. The photos are going to be gorgeous! With just two more days until their wedding, I wanted to share a little bit of their love with you all:
1.How did you two meet?
We met about 3 years before we even got together through a mutual friend who worked at Dixie's Tavern uptown. We didn't talk in between, but reconnected and I haven't been able to shake him since ;)
2.What are your favorite things to do together?
We like to do things we can involve Bella in: watch the Panthers play, go out to eat - our favorites are Stagioni and New Zealand Cafe. We enjoy craft projects and the Amazing Maize Maze!
3.How did Nic propose?
We originally met at Dixie's Tavern which is now First Ward Park. We were taking our dog for a walk there and he proposed to me near the fountains.
4.What are you looking forward to most on your wedding day?
I’m looking forward to being with everyone we love and sharing the start of our marriage with us. I’m super excited for the dog of honor and to see if the rings actually make it down the aisle.
5.What's next for you two?
Next is just life. Continuing to work on the restaurant, settling into our new home, and relaxing before the next phase into a family.
